Musical Theatre
Musical Theatre at Studio Blue Dance is a dynamic and engaging program designed to develop confident, expressive performers through specialist singing and dance training inspired by the world of musical theatre.
Our program is centred around the iconic musicals seen on Broadway and stages around the world. Students explore character-driven performance, storytelling, stage presence, and musical interpretation while learning material inspired by legendary choreographers and creatives such as Bob Fosse, Jerome Robbins, and Jerry Mitchell.
Musical Theatre at Studio Blue is offered as two separate classes, allowing families to choose the pathway that best suits
their child:
Dance classes, taught by Miss Carlie, focus on musical theatre–style choreography, movement quality, and performance technique
Singing classes, taught by Miss Daisy, focus on vocal technique, confidence, projection, and performance skills

Students may enrol in one or both classes,
however we strongly encourage participation in both singing and dance to support well-rounded training.

Developing skills across multiple performance disciplines allows students to grow as confident, versatile performers and gain a deeper understanding of musical theatre as a complete art form.
